So basically, I am having FPS issues with Minecraft on Java Edition. It seems to cause less lag when I have the FPS limit to unlimited. If I limit the fps to 120 or 60 with vsync it causes more lag. That's not to say that there aren't huge lage spikes when I have the FPS limit on unlimited. If someone could give me some advice on what I could do to resolve this issue I would appreciate it. (If your response is going to be install optifine for 1.13, I am aware of what optifine is and what it does, but the version out right now doesn't work very well).
I have 8gb of ram dedicated to Minecraft, this is what I have on the JVM arguements ( -Xmx8G -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:+UseG1GC -XX:G1NewSizePercent=20 -XX:G1ReservePercent=20 -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=50 -XX:G1HeapRegionSize=16M )

I'll give that a shot, I usually just tend to allocate 8gb all the time because I mostly just play modpacks. I'll give an update later if that works.
-edit: The game still seems to give me huge lagspikes wether it's with vsync on 60fps, or vsync off fps unlimited. Also, the huge lag spikes seem to be colored red, I'm not sure if that means anything.
Disable GeForce experience overlay or other overlays for that matter.

I don't use GeForce Experience, so it is never on. I do however have RivaTuner, but I have the on-screen overlay disabled for minecraft and a few other games.
-edit I disabled my fps overlay on msi afterburner to close RivaTuner. However, it didn't really seem to have any effect on the lag spikes.
-edit2 Just found a new strange issue too. I found out that whenever I break a block in creative, it causes a lag spike. If I spam breaking blocks it causes a huge amount of lag spikes.
Also, when I stand still, some chunks seem to be missing and don't load up far enough to get lost in the fog, here is a screenshot as to what I mean by this.

Moderatorallocate less ram, the games using just over 1Gb, try 2Gb allocation, remember more ram does not mean more fps
