I've recently just fixed my first corrupted world, but now I'm curious. What I did was generate a world with the same name and seed and custom settings, then replace the corrupted level.dat of the corrupted world with the fresh level.dat of the fresh world. This allowed me to keep all of my structures but I did lose my inventory. For anyone using this info to solve their corrupted world, know that you don't need the same seed.
Then I noticed a few odd things. I can't remember everything, but the only major one was two very out of place chunks. They were close to each other and seemed to generate as two chunks pulled out of a different seed. If anyone knows why this is, please tell me about it. I picked out 40 medium and small mods myself that I knew wouldn't cause lag in the long-term. Could one of these mods have helped to corrupt my game? I'm just a few hours into my game so I am absolutely prepared to remove some if I must.
I simply went into creative to get the exact coordinates of two corners of each of the chunks and used the "/fill x y z x y z block 0 DESTROY" command and gave myself all the cobblestone of the chunks because I totally deserved something for my time, lol. Then I replaced my inventory. I always have cheats enabled because I know I will encounter strange things.
If you've read through this, thanks so much for your time! I understand not everyone will have answers I'm looking for, so thanks in advance for checking this post out!
