Hi, I have a problem connected with OpenAL. Whenever I try to play 1.12.2 the game doesn't make any sound, but if I play on 1.13, it's all ok.

Couple of days ago I stumbled upon this thread. The author of it explained how she/he fixed it, but I don't know where to put the new OpenAL64.dll file.
Yeah, I tried 1.8.9 and 1.13. The newer one had sound and the second didn't.
Edit:
Thanks to the user DaimeneX I managed to fix my problem. All I had to do was to go to ".minecraft\libraries\org\lwjgl\lwjgl-openal\3.1.6\" and open the file ending with "-natives-windows" using WinRAR. Then, I copied "OpenAL.dll" and "OpenAL32.dll" to ".minecraft" (not before adding "64" to the first file). I launched 1.12 and it worked!

I'd be really glad if somebody could help me.
Are you using optifine?
You can try pressing F3+T to reload all textures

Curse Premiumwhile this has nothing to do with textures, F3+T will also reload the sound engine, so it's worth a shot
I'm playing on clean Minecraft. Also, I forgot to include that I tried F3+T a lot and there was no change.
You could try downloading the minecraft.msi and clicking repair. You can also try reinstalling it.
Have you tried Holding F3 and pressing S?
Try booting the game without any audio device plugged in

Tried all of these to no avail.
Have you tried booting from another version and checking if that has sound?
