Hi. This is my first thread to these forums, so please bear with me. I'm having trouble loading up Minecraft: Java Edition.
I have a new computer which runs on Windows 10, but I've always played on my old comp, which ran Windows 7. It doesn't matter the version I try to play, I've updated my drivers and they can't be updated anymore, I believe my PC meets the minimum requirements to run Minecraft, I've gotten multiple different versions of Java, and yet I still get the error. Am I missing something really simple?
when you say new computer you mean new to you second hand correct? not new from a shop, because if that came new from a shop you were ruipped off.
Unfortunately your graphics hardware is not supported on Windows 10, you will need to downgrade to Windows 7, upgrade your graphics hardware (Not possible on a laptop), or use another computer to play Minecraft.
Yes, its a second hand refurbished desktop computer. Is it only my graphics hardware that is well below? Or are there other issues? If there are other issues, could you tell me what I would need to do to get my computer to run Minecraft?
the computer is just too old, it would need a new CPU, which would mean a new motherboard and ram to do, and then a new GPU, and most likely a new power supply, so upgrading isn't really an option as you need to reply everything but the hard drive
