Was playing in a friends realm, was in the nether. Decided to leave as I was out of food. As I was coming up on my nether portal, a wither skeleton attacked me. I died while in the portal. It wouldn't let me respawn, so I went to title screen. I am now unable to reconnect, because the game seems to think I'm still logged in (checked with another friend on same realm, says it shows me still online). It just shows "connecting to realms" until I click cancel.
Tried leaving realms, and having them reinvite me, same issue. And there is no /kick command apparently. Will the realms restart fix this issue? If not, what else could we try? It's been about 12 hours since it occurred, and no change.

Use a backup or download the world to singleplayer and try fixing it from there.
