An example of this, whenever I break a block, or open a door, the game lags for half a second. It is very annoying and almost unplayable when I'm trying to do tasks. I have been playing minecraft since 2011 and I have never gotten anything like this up until 1.13.

I think the problem is how fast your single player "server" is running (3rd line on the f3 screen) but i honestly have no clue. You might also not be giving mc enough ram (memory, on the top right of f3 screen) if it's at 1024 MB then that could be why.

Okay, setting the priority of Minecraft to high in the task manager as a last effort seems to have fixed it completely. Phew.
