So, when I try to join/launch a singleplayer world in minecraft the game crashes at 96% loaded. This just started happening after I reinstalled Java and Minecraft after trying to fix a memory issue I had where I couldn't(probably still can't) allocate more RAM. Thing is that I can't even begin trying to get that issue fixed if the game won't launch. Any idea how to fix this? The issue has persisted through 2 reinstallations of MC now.
This is the latest crash report that I got:

You have -Xmx256M in the _JAVA_OPTIONS variable in your environment settings, To remedy this,
Uninstall Razer Synapse / Cortex if you have it
Press the Windows key and the Pause/Break key simultaneously
A window should popup, click on "Advanced system settings"
Click on "Environment Variables"
Delete the _JAVA_OPTIONS entry.
