io.netty.channel.AbstractChannel$AnnotatedConnectException: Connection Refused: No further information:
That's what I see when I try direct connecting to the LAN world hosted on our home PC from the Laptop computer. I have tried checking the Firewall at least five times, I have tried using connections and ip's and command functions from both ends, I've tried fiddling with our Router. NOTHING WORKS. I am frustrated beyond belief about this. I can connect to other servers just fine, but on private LAN, NO LUCK. Please someone help. Please.
make sure that the new version of java is allowed through your firewall, windows treats each version of java as a separate entry and you may have to manually add it.

I checked and double checked the Minecraft versions being used, the firewall is letting the right version through. We can't connect even if it's disabled on both computers.
