Whenever I try to update my world, all my buildings disappear, I have tried to optimize the world but it always fails. Anyone have a fix for this?
Very odd, were you using any mods?
By update I presume you mean just opening the world in 1.13 and letting the launcher update it when it warns you about the version?
What do you mean by optimize?

No mods were being used, and by update I mean letting the launcher update it.
There's a new feature in 1.13 which lets you optimizes the world to a new version before you enter the game, so it doesn't lag when you're in the game.
1.13 has some issues with world conversion. Wait for an update that fixes this, or try some tools like MCEdit (I don´t have any experince with this)
