Hello, I made a minecraft forums acount for this issue I've been having.

I have a gaming laptop (Lenovo Legion Y520)

Intel Core i5-7300HQ

2.50 GHz CPU

4 cores

8GB RAM ( 3GB dedicated GPU RAM)

Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060

The store I ordered it from has the calculated FPS you'd get on average on highest graphic settings, and I should realistically get around 300 FPS on lower settings.

However, I only get 20-40 FPS while playing. I managed to reach 60 FPS by the use of OptiFine and BetterFPS + tweaking all the settings to the lowest.

The Windows 10 edition of Minecraft runs way smoother, but I want to be able to play with some minor mods.

Unrelated to the main issue at hand, I think this is connected to the FPS problem somehow.

If I try to run the game with mods installed that change what structures get added, mobs spawn, or biomes in general, I can't even create a world. I can create a world, join in for 2 seconds before it tells me a fatal error occurred and shuts down. Then it sends me to the Server list.

I don't get this problem with using TechnicLauncher however, but I experience different issues like not the entire modpack loading in.

Post a screenshot with F3 enabled and your JVM arguments.

So I tried starting up the game to get the screenshot, but it crashed twice.

Here's my JVM arguments

I ran Minecraft through Compatibility mode, and it still froze at the same point.

I didn't have this issue earlier today.

But now it just freezes right at the main menu, after loading in.

Now it just keeps freezing.

Java starts freezing regardless of what I do.

It worked earlier today.

I'm about to lose my mind over here. I can run Triple A games on this computer but not Minecraft???

Problem still persists. Managed to get 1.13 running, but after closing it again it keeps on crashing at launch again.
