I have files back to 2014, videos on YouTube from the account, files of mods, but when I tried to log into my game, it said "Login Failed" When I hit the forgot password button (even though I know it) and input my email, this comes up "If there is a Mojang account registered to '(my email)' we have sent instructions for how to reset your password. Thanks!" BUT no email comes through, even though I know that is my account and my email.
I contact Mojang Support and have been stone walled with them asking for a confirmation number from almost 5 years ago! Are you kidding? They lost my account in their past business change and when I try to get my password/account to my email, nothing. This is a breach of paid services....
Mojang are the ONLY people who can help with account issues, NO ONE else can.
BTW this isn't a breach of paid services if you can't find the proof of purchase, thats down to you not them, they are doing things right by requiring more proof as its securing accounts and not just letting any person access an account
I appreciate your take on breach of services, though by the letter of the law you may have a case, but in respect of customer service and retention, especially since this is a wide spread scenario, it would be wise on their part to do the right thing and either access their files or simply follow the facts by verifying the account email which matches my email and fixing it. I am not trying to get a free copy of Minecraft, I am trying to log in with the credentials that I purchased it with., which they obviously lost since they no longer allow me to access the launcher or is showing up in their system.
Ponder this... If Chase Bank loses my sign in credentials, I am sure they will not make me reapply for credit, or dig out my disclosure statements to use their card. They could see the path of purchases (like the logs of my Minecraft games) and determine that I do have an account. And if my dealership where I purchased our vehicle would have lost my login credentials if they changed owners, I'm sure that I would not have to dig out my window sticker or finance papers to service my vehicle seeing that I have had work prior based on OEM parts on the vehicle.
yes its totally Mojangs fault you don't have your details.....
a bank won't let you access an account if you don't have the details to it, thats not the banks fault.
Either way, this is NOTHING anyone here can help with, ONLY Mojang can help with account issues,

So, though I appreciate what is "down on me", lack of customer concern actions like these are what brought larger entities down... US Airways and Blockbuster.
