Game works very well in the newest version but when I try to play Minecraft 1.7.9 or 1.7.10, it crashes when I try to join a server.
The crash report is as it follows:

For future reference, create a new profile with its own game directory for each version that you use (the latest release can be safely updated so you do not need to create new profiles for each new version, just one for the latest release); this happens because 1.7 is trying to read invalid options from an options.txt file produced by a newer version and Mojang never thought to add any code to check if the settings are reasonable (except for very rare cases you also do not need to delete the entire .minecraft folder because the launcher checks that every file matches the ones on Mojang's servers every time you launch the game, except for ones like options.txt, which can simply be deleted, or custom modded versions, which can likewise be deleted).

I completely deleted .minecraft folder and now it works.

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
