Starting sometime in early July, my Minecraft Java Edition had a game-breaking glitch where whenever it had loaded all the way to the loading screen, it would freeze. I realized by opening task manager that the program that stopped responding wasn't Minecraft, it was called "Java Platform SE Binary." Today I remembered the glitch and for the past several hours I've been attempting all fixes I could find online about this issue, like uninstalling Java and Minecraft, updating my Graphics Drivers, but to no avail. Finally I tried right-clicking this file that wasn't responding by accessing it with task manager. I tried many things to fix it and eventually decided to run it as administrator. When I set that up, unfortunately Minecraft decided that was the worst thing I could've done and now it doesn't even start to load, it just says "Java failed to launch"... which means that now I can't even access that Java file by purposely running minecraft and getting it to crash and now my issue with Minecraft not loading is multiple layers deep. If anyone could help, I'd appreciate it because there's no way I'm buying a new computer just so I can play Minecraft!
Thanks for the suggestions... I'm running a malware scan now, but my computer regularly runs scans on its own so I don't think that's the problem... However, and I don't know the EXACT dates for sure, but I think McAfee is the culprit here. I read the forum post you provided the link to and McAfee is on there, and I believe that when Minecraft stopped launching it was when I renewed my McAfee service. Also, I usually have Discord in the background running all the time, so I can try to shut that down when I start Minecraft. Thanks for the info, I'll get back to you if anything works.
Edit:
If nothing works, I'd also like to say that the version of Java that Minecraft installs, the Platform SE Binary thing that I mentioned, isn't anywhere to be found on my PC but I can only assume it is located somewhere outside of my Minecraft folders because the issue I had starting when I ran it as administrator remains whenever I uninstall/reinstall the launcher and the .minecraft folder.
The Minecraft's bundled Java is located at this location:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Minecraft\runtime\jre-x64

Thanks! I was actually about to edit the post to say that I've figured that out, but my anti-malware is still running so I'll delete it later. I think my problem is that when I install Minecraft, not only does the launcher and .minecraft folder install, but there's another (almost exact duplicate) folder that installed somewhere random on my PC labeled "Curse," and it had the same java file in it. Sooo... I believe that java file got corrupted, not the other one.
Sorry to reply again so soon, but I have fixed one of the issues! The file that runs Minecraft, javaw.exe, had a setting turned on to where it needed administrative permissions to run, and Windows Firewall blocked it automatically because of that. Now the problem is just that Java Platform SE Binary isn't responding... I'll try some of the fixes again, but I'd love to know if anybody has had this same issue before and if so did they find a solution?
One idea I have is that the javaw.exe file that Minecraft uses to run doesn't like my computer? Or the other way around? Because I learned that the first "Couldn't launch java" error was from my laptop's firewall blocking javaw.exe... Anyone agree? Because I'm running out of ideas.

Running it in administrator mode is actually what caused the second problem to arise, the one where I couldn't even launch Minecraft anymore. Most firewalls block a few runtime environments if they're in administrator mode because they must think that they can alter the code of other programs? I don't know, but apparently this doesn't only happen to javaw.exe. Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm afraid it won't work.

NEVER MIND! I FIXED IT! YES! I realized that for some reason, Discord was the culprit (as Tails1 said earlier, sorry I didn't realize sooner). The reason I immediately dismissed it was because I almost always play Minecraft while in a discord call with my friends... But then I remembered that recently they put out an update that improved Discord's overlay. After disabling the overlay in Discord user settings, my game works again! Hopefully this helps anyone with this same issue, because I've seen that this thread already has about 200 views. I'm under the impression that Discord also uses Java as its runtime environment... Is it possible that my computer was prioritizing Java's processing power exclusively to Discord because of the overlay and breaking Minecraft?

- shut down discord
- run scans with malwarebytes and adwcleaner

Okay, well that didn't work. I've noticed that "nativelog" notepad file, should I do what that file says? Change Minecraft's run directory?

Excuse the bump.

Run in back to normal mode.
