Everytime I try to boot up Minecraft 1.13, it constantly freezes and I am forced to close it. The launcher re-opens, saying "It crashed :(" and there isn't any logs about it in the folder.
It also freezes when on the pause menu, and crashes. This is extremely annoying, as I'm just having it open to test any textures I've made for the game
That is a resolution bug with Minecraft 1.13 - I had the bug for a while but I did find a tempory solution for it and I hope it helps you because I know how annyoing the bug is:
Here is my video explaining how to do it:
- In your Minecraft launcher, go to "Launch Options"
- Click on your Minecraft 18w07a profile,
- Deselect "resolution"
- Go to the "News" tab, press play
- Minecraft should start up and you should be able to play in the new snapshot

Stick to Full releases or Report the bug to mojang.
18w07a? That's an ancient version from February and that bug got fixed month ago...

Curse PremiumThe thing is, my resolution is already unchecked
Obviously not, since me and other people are still experiencing it
I was replying to the person with the youtubevideo...
But the solution is for a compeletely different issue, for which Mojang already released a fix.

Curse PremiumSo I find that it crashes the same way for 1.12.2 if I'm not using OptiFine. I've updated Java and everything
I got it I got it! It was the Discord overlay for me. I've disabled it and now everything's working.
