While playing Minecraft earlier today, I wanted to switch over to the Optifine mod I had in another profile for the launcher, so I switched to that profile while I was in the MC title screen, then closed the MC window (not the launcher), and immediately got a BSOD, which I had to manually had to press the computer's reset button to get out of, after waiting more than 15 minutes for the machine to reboot itself. After recovering from the BSOD, I went to start up Minecraft, but the launcher showed a warning of "Fatal Error". After this, it only shows one profile, instead of the more than a dozen that I once had. My .minecraft folder is intact, complete with the Versions folder, that still contains all of my old profiles, yet the launcher cannot seem to "see" them. Has anyone else come across this problem, and if so, is there a way to correct the problem? I would be very thankful for any information that could lead to a successful resolution.
