I've been having this weird problem and I'm not sure whats causing it. When I play Minecraft 1.12.2 vanilla I get this extreme lag, i cant hardly move and this is with vanilla. Now when I load up a 1.7.10 world hardly no lag, even with mods(at least 80 mods), but every time I try 1.12.2 or anything higher than 1.7.10 it lags. Anyone know why this is happening, would greatly appreciate the help, thanks.
(P.S. Sorry if i don't respond to any comments immediately, I've been super busy this week, but will try to answer back asap)
Specs:
Operating System: Windows 10 (64-bit)
Ram: 4gb
*Sorry about the little info on the specs I don't have access to my laptop at the moment but I will post all the specs once i do*
Minecraft will run well with a "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050" graphic card and 8 GB of RAM.

sorry iam not an expert but maybe i can help,
did u give your minecraft enough ram?
i would recommend u useing the technic luncher if u have 64 bit pc
it is easy to use and u can give your minecraft 3gb of ram without useing your actual ram and it removes alot of lag
trust me on this but with out it i used to get 20-30 fps now i get 120-150 without useing optifine
200-300 with optifine and i got 4 ram only
Hey I allocate 2GB to Minecraft. I'll try giving the Technic launcher a try, thanks for the suggestion
More RAM does not mean more FPS, it mostly depends on the graphics card.
OP: Post a screenshot with F3 enabled.
Thanks and will do once i get access to my laptop
well it worked for me so idk
Ill try your suggestion as well

ModeratorPost an ingame screenshot with the F3 overlay screen, like Tails1 asked for.
Though the specs you posted suggest a laptop that is below the requirements for minecraft, so a newer laptop would be the answer to clearing lag
Sorry just getting a chance to get back to my laptop, here's the screens of F3 on both 1.12.2 and 1.7.10

Moderatoras i said, that laptop is low spec and just not upto the job, look at the benchmark it has here https://www.cpubenchmark.net/cpu.php?cpu=AMD E1-6010 APU&id=2308
if you want lag free play lower ALL the settings or get a newer more powerful computer/laptop
But how come 1.7.10 doesnt lag, whats the grand update 1.12.2 had that my laptop cant handle, i mean i use to be able to run in fine but now i cant
Plus my laptop is able to run smoothly beefy games than minecraft

Moderator1.7 doesn't lag because it requiered lower specs for the computer, newer versions require beefier computers, as can be seen by the current requirements https://help.mojang.com/customer/en/portal/articles/325948-minecraft-java-edition-system-requirements
Okay I see, guess I have to get a new laptop, I appreciate the help, but can I get your opinion, on this gaming laptop for Minecraft
