So I have searched and searched and found nothing so far that has helped. Before today, my daughter and I have played in each others worlds (modded and not). Today something happened...not sure what. It started when she made a new world that she wanted me to play in. She created the world, opened Lan then I went to multiplayer and clicked on her opened world that I could see in the list....
"io.netty.channel.abstractchannel$annotatedconnectexception connection timed out"is the error I got on my computer.
So I went though all the normal things, restart minecraft(s) reset modem/router, restart computers, turned off firewalls, tried to direct connect etc etc. We tried it both ways, modded and not and still got the same message on my computer. All same versions of Java/Minecraft yada yada. So the thing is though, if I make a world on my computer and open it to Lan, her computer "doesn't" see it in the list when you go in multiplayer but can direct connect when using that way. Any help lol!!
