Title says it all. I want minecraft 1.0 to start in a custom directory, but all my singleplayer worlds from my main directory show up instead. I set it to start in the custom directory in the launcher, what did I do wrong? I'm using the latest launcher version by the way.

Jeez, I'm bad at explaining things. Let me add one more detail to clarify: Old MC used to go to the custom directory, now it's going to my .minecraft folder. It worked once, I want it to work again.

This issue hasn't been resolved yet, so I'm just typing this out to get it back where people can see it.
Try using separate game directories for newer versions instead.

The launcher seems to be bugged.
Try the old launcher or even better use MultiMC.
