i will log into minecraft and it will take me to the menu, everythings fine until i try to join a server or my own private world. it will stay on "downloading terrain" forever and when i try to tab out it gives me "Java Platform SE Binary has stopped working". i have mods downloaded but even when i try different versions, complete vanilla. same thing. ive uninstalled and re-installed minecraft (even the .minecraft folder) because i thought a complete reset would fix it but same thing.

- shut down discord
- run scans with malwarebytes and adwcleaner
