hi guys, as the title shows im having some fps issues with forever stranded lost souls, i know inherently the mod pack has some issues that have mostly been worked out but i feel im missing something in a config somehow that is making my version have issues (or maybe this laptop isnt as good as i thought it would be for modded minecraft)
so the dell inspiron 5577 has
i7-7700hq @ 2.80Ghz quad core
8Gb RAM
Nvidia 4gb gtx 1050
running the latest 64bit java and playing via the twitch launcher.
i can get a steady 60fps for a few mins (sometimes seconds) at a time, then ill get a hang (reads 1fps) for around 10-30 seconds, sometimes longer, sometimes it never comes back. The launcher log shows its having the "did the time change, cant keep up scrapping 'x' ticks" message, or sometimes its referencing JEI.
its definitely using the Nvida GPU to run off, ive allocated 4Gb RAM (in the twitch settings, although as of writing im experimenting with 3Gb). ive tried tweaking the render distance and quality settings. tried optifine, idk if ive missed something or if ive got a lost cause on my hands.
let me know if there are any screenshots or other details ive missed, oh this is single player btw

Post a screenshot with F3 enabled and your JVM arguments.
here you go
Disable GeForce experience overlay.
Disabled it and still getting lock ups. Set max fps from 60 to 100 and seems to go upto 90fps. Any action sends it down though.
not a crash report, but the log entries around the last hang up
