I have recently got back into minecraft and I have been modding my game with several different mods. After installing optifine (this was after installing other mods such as biomes o plenty, etc. and everything was fine), in many sections of the world everything is white, there are no textures and this is very annoying (this only happens when i enable biomes o plenty before creating a server, default is fine but its boring). However, there are instances where I found that parts of the world are textured in, but when i go back to where I came from it just reverts back to white (as if there are conflicting borders within the world). Also if I am in the section of the world where everything is white and I blindly submerge myself in water, then textures load in for the water, everything above the water when i look up from it, and everything below. This has been annoying me for the past hour and I dont know what to do, can anyone help me? I will provide pictures but they dont have the best quality (srry)

I have no idea what may have caused this, but I would try diferent version of optifine or not at all, then diferent versions of other mods.
Is vanilla like this too? If so, it must be a graphics problem.
Better foliage is 1.12.1 not 1.12.2 so this may be our black sheep? Just a guess
