I've been trying to play on version 1.4.5 because I miss the old Minecraft (that's the version I started with), and initially, whenever I would try to play on this version, the game would crash. I found that a good fix was to delete options.txt from the .minecraft folder, and it does work, but there's no sound. It only makes sense that all sound related things must've been inside options.txt, but I was wondering if there was any potential way to retrieve sound while still being able to play on 1.4.5? Thanks in advance.
UPDATE: I had some troubles with my account and ended up reinstalling the game. Now, options.txt is back, yet 1.4.5 is still working, but, of course, still without sound. Any ideas?
FIXED! Downloaded old resources.

I believe there was a way but you had to download the resources from someone that had the files already, i remember watching a YouTube video about it.
