minecraft v. 1.12.2

First I got weird error referencing a fail move of the tmp file to exe, so I manually moved C:/Program Files (x86)/Minecraft/tmp/tmpLauncher.tmp to same directory as MinecraftLauncher.exe which fixed that. Then when trying to click Play I get:

clicking view crash report doesn't pop up anything or direct me anywhere

Tried:

• https://help.mojang.com/customer/en/portal/articles/928791-problematic-frame-or-pixel-format-not-accelerated
• reinstalled minecraft from https://minecraft.net/en-us/download/
• checked resolution/display settings all set to reccommended
• updated java
• installed old version of java from http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-archive-javase8-2177648.html#jre-8u51-oth-JPR created oracle account, downloaded v.8u60
• changed game to launch from C:\Program Files (x86)\Minecraft\runtime\jre-x64\1.8.0_25\bin\javaw.exe
to C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_60\bin\javaw.exe

• used Intel Driver & Support Assistant to Identify your products and get driver and software updates for your Intel hardware. and it said "Sorry, no software updates are available." from https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html

Edit: Also tried changing resolution of game to the recommended. Unchanged it showed 854x480. Display recommended was 1600x900. changing to either one did not resolve it.

Well that sucks. I used to be able to play without issues. Thank you. I appreciate the communities quick attention.
