I got a modpack me, and a few friends use, but it has random crashes. Can be a long time before a crash or a few minutes.
The modpack has over 300 mods, and i have no idea what makes it crash. Anyone know how i can find the problem, and possibly fix it?
Other than using less mods i guess... My crash log file: crash-2018-06-06_23.14.53-server
Pretty much just using the "AllTheMods 3" Modpack with a "few" extra mods, and such.
Was just digging some dirt, and my friend on the server had his game minimized when it crashed.
I thought it was strange too. But i think it was like that from when i got it from "AllTheMods 3" But i'll delete the old one, and see if it does anything.
testing them all one by one isn't feasible of course. You can bisect it though. Remove half of them. If it stops crashing, the problem is in the half you removed. Add half of them back.
If after you remove some it still crashes, the problem is in the half you didn't remove. Remove half of them and test again.
By cutting the field in half each time, you would require a max of 9 test runs to narrow it down to a single mod, much less than 300 test runs.
Naturally do this on a different world so you don't corrupt the one you are playing with.
Also it's complicated by the fact that a lot of those mods depend on other mods, so you'll want to group them together. When you remove half the mods you can't leave behind one that depends on a mod that you take out. Also the crash could be because of the way certain mods interact with each other instead of being the fault of a particular mod on its own. With that many it's just going to be a large task to sort it out, if you can at all
The problem is the crash is random. I would have to fly around the world for a long time to make sure it's crash free, and it'd take a long time to boot each time. I could try tho... Just wish the crash report would just give me more of a clue.
Sadly the error says nothing that i can really use. So i guess i'll have to slowly test.

Also not sure if i'm allowed to share the modpack, but here it is. I will remove it if needed tho.

Crash still happens at random times. Anyone got an idea how to fix this? It would take days to test every mod for problems.
Best start testing...

Not sure if this is normal but it does seem strange having 2 different version numbers of the same mod

Tested with all mods updated, and "TheBetweenlandsLoadingPlugin (TheBetweenlands-3.3.7-core.jar)" removed
Still got 3.3.8-core installed. I still crash tho. Here's the crash report: https://pastebin.com/QiiHKGfF
Also exported, and uploaded the new version of the modpack (1.3.1).
