i haven't tried this with other items, but tridents simply aren't enchanting. i was trying to use anvils, but those didn't work. next i tried generating a /give command, that didn't work either. this is in 18w21a

Are you using the right enchantments and methods, and are you sure they are in this snapshot? https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Trident#Enchantments
Remember a snapshot is for testing and seeing whats new, not for playing, bugs should be reported to Mojang so they can fix them
