I tried before I made this post and failed. Could you post an example? I'm not to savvy with this. How there is no tutorial on this exact issue is really irritating.
EDIT: Okay so I figured out how to do it. I replaced the java version the launcher was using the one from Program Files (x64) which is update 171. When I update java in the future will I have to manually replace it in the Minecraft folder which is in the x86 folder?
EDIT #2: So the launcher automatically redownloaded java version 1.8.0_25.... What do I need to do so the launcher uses the version of java on my machine?
So by default, the launcher uses java version 1.8.0_25. How do I get the launcher to use the version installed on my machine (1.8.0_171)?
