So apparently I get a better framerate on Crysis Maxed Out than in Minecraft. Not that it's always been like this though, I used to get about 200 FPS in Singleplayer but after formatting my PC I can't get past 20.
Notes:
- I Have no Viruses. Stop saying "Run a virus scan", hardly any Viruses will slow your PC down.
- All Drivers were manually updated, including Java.
- Optifine makes the FPS even worse now.
- FPS is not capped and I'm not using VSYNC
- The game had 1GB of allocated memory, increasing or decreasing this value did not change the fps what so ever.
- Windows 10 edition has never dropped below 120 FPS.
- This occurs in any world, Singleplayer and Multiplayer, and in previous versions of the game.
- RAM usage and CPU usage are both normal, and the Laptop is not overheating.
- My system has always been capable to run Minecraft flawlessly. (GT740M 2GB Overclocked, i3 1.8GHz, 8GB RAM, 500GB HDD 120 Free)
- I think Java isn't installed on the C: drive but on another partition.

Set your laptop power settings to high and defragment your hard drive.
Already done.
Disable GeForce experience overlay.
This happened to me before. For me personally, it was overusage of my cpu. Some common solutions are:
<>Close any backround applications
<>Disable internal devices
<>Unplug or Disable external devices
<>Exclude failing hardware
A huge solution is:
<>Update your BIOS
First, identify your BIOS version and check the manufacturer’s website for updates and installation instructions.
To find out your BIOS version, press Windows key + R, type cmd, hit Enter, and execute the following two commands, one after the other:
Note that the I in /I is a capital i, not a lower case L.
