I made a world in 1.9.4 and built a decent amount of stuff but then decided I wanted to switch to the latest version 1.12.2 to use the new blocks. It worked fine and I started building some stuff and thought that the worldedit mod would make it a lot easier, so I downloaded Forge 1.12.2 and worldedit 1.12.2 and moved the .jar into my .minecraft > mods folder. For some reason whenever I try to load the world it always crashes. So, I went and used the recreate option to try and make a copy of my world, and I loaded in just fine without any crashing but of course the problem was it's just the seed and the stuff I built wasn't where I built it in the original world. Could someone help?
P.S. in the copy of the world I can use worldedit just fine

It sounds to me you may possibly have some corrupted files within your minecraft forge folder. I would delete forge, then reinstall it. if that doesn't work, it may be your minecraft that has something corrupted. To fix this issue type %appdata% in search bar, then delete the .minecraft folder. Try launching minecraft and it should start downloading again. If this doesn't work, I have one last solution, try uping the amount of dedicated ram for minecraft forge via the settings in the launcher.
