Note: I know the title is a bit confusing but it's hard to explain.
When I play with any mod on Minecraft (even Optifine) my entire system lags when trying to tab into Minecraft. My system can certainly handle playing Minecraft (roughly 300 FPS avg) but tabbing in just shows a little text box in the top left corner of the screen that says "Minecraft 1.12.2", along with that I can't click on anything or tab out while it lags.
