Was able to play Vanilla single player Minecraft 1.12.2 with no problems. Then all of the sudden when I tried to play it it freezes on the "loading world building terrain". Playing on Win 10 with gtx 1060 6gb video card. Checked and Java, windows, and Both the gtx 1060 and on board video card are up to date. I end up going in to task manager and ended the java se binary process to get out of it. Tried the old launcher and I can get the world to load but it starts to lag after 15 or so seconds and then will finally crash.
When it crashes on the old launcher it says the following in the game output:
[20:25:48] [Server thread/WARN]: Can't keep up! Did the system time change, or is the server overloaded? Running 3642ms behind, skipping 72 tick(s)
[20:26:07] [Client thread/INFO]: Warning: Clientside chunk ticking took 551 ms
