Crash reports are found in the crash-reports folder under the .minecraft folder.

This is an issue with installing forge, minecraft never crashed, i never got that far. Aaaaand... where is .minecraft, really sorry for being such a noob.

First, you purchase, download, install and run Minecraft.

Once that is successful you download and run Forge: https://files.minecraftforge.net/

Be careful MineCraft is very popular and there are countless unscrupulous people that will try to add malware to your computer.
