MY MAP IS CORRUPTED (when i spawn i am in the sky, i cant run any command my skin dont appear and when i want to quit the game crashes) I CANT PLAY AND I AM NOOB I DONT KNOW HOW TO USE MCEDIT (level.dat and level.dat_old are corrupted) plz help i dont want to lose the map take the map and fix it for me plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
I'm no expert about corrupted worlds but I know a little about examining World data using a program called NBTExplorer
I've downloaded your world & compared the entries in it to a 'typical' world & it seems to me that somehow the world data doesn't exist in yours, which may explain you being in the sky..
If you look at the attached picture
- When I expand a typical world's 'DIM' branches (FYI 'DIM' refers to Dimensions IIRC - Overworld [1] / End [0] / Nether [-1]) there's entries showing in a normal world, however on your world there's nothing to expand.
I have managed to find the seed that was used (I think) but this is not much use as it will only allow you to regenerate the world & nothing you built in it...
The seed is -324368506399592717
Hmmmm, so the world data has been deleted. i can't give up. i can access to the world with mcedit and see what i did. I know that i can copy a part of the world and paste him on another one, but i don't know how.
I'm not saying it IS deleted - it's just unusual that a 'normal' world seems to have data in the DIM branches & yet your world file doesn't.
(i'm newish to NBTexplorer myself)
I admit I'm confused as to how mcedit is showing builds in the world if there's no DIM data (Incidentally I'm not familiar with that version of mcedit but I guess it's because I've not used it in a while)
EDIT.. Oh I see - there's a v2 of mcedit by a different developer & there's me with using the older v1 *facepalm*
Ok.. not 100% sure how I've done this (first time trying to recover a world) but I THINK I've managed to recover ~2000 chunks of the world, especially the builds
Basically >
* I loaded in your 'corrupted' world into the older mcedit (v1 - not the one you use.. only did this since I'm more familiar with that older version)
* I Selected a large selection of the world (using 'camera view' not the 'chunk view') & 'copied' it
* I created a new world in Minecraft using the same seed that I found in my earlier post here
(I did NOT close down mcedit when I did this) & TP'd to the same area as in your world (-77 65 237 - found using [f3])
* I then opened new world in mcedit & 'pasted' the selection in (I hope) the same place
- I also noted that the Biomes looked different & it may be slightly out in actual positioning of the 'paste' but I assume it's because the original world may've been created in an older version of minecraft than 1.12.2 & so landscape may be a little 'off'
(I'm hoping as you venture out further - new chunks will be auto generated & that they blend in ok with the pasted in chunks from original world)
* I then opened the new world in minecraft & there is was - a world with builds, chests with contents, horses etc
I also realized you had some command blocks running because of all the popups in chat & that I couldn't change into creative mode
Because of this I used nbtexplorer to REMOVE the one command block that changed everyone into survival mode just so that I could fly around to see what builds were there..
...you will need to replace this at some point if need be although I'm not sure WHY you want everyone in survival yet still allow them access to commands
Anyway - give this world a tryout & see if it works for you (In single player it seems to work OK)
Everything works ok. 1000 Thanks. I am so happy that you were here. I don't know what to say. Thanks, thanks and 1000 thanks.
I'm playing with my cousins and they're noobs and they don't know what they can do with commands (LOL). I did a redstone clock with command block to make everyone in survival
cause they don't know what is /give and i telled to them that they can teleport to me with /tp.
Anyway, thank you for being here and i wish you will help other peoples noobs like me.

EDIT: The original world was created in 1.12.2
your issue may be resolved here but one thing you can do to fix a corrupt level.dat is the following.
1: create a backup (ALWAYS)
2: if possible find and write down the seed
3: delete JUST the level.dat
4: if the game was running close it, if not start it now.
5: create a new world using the EXACT same name as the world folder (also use the seed if you have it)
result: your world will have a new spawn point and there is the small possibility of your inventory being deleted but the world will be back to exactly how it was and you can go about your day

There won't be anything under the "DIM1 / DIM-1" folders unless you actually visited those dimensions (the game will create the folders but no region files until they have), and the Overworld is stored under "region", not "DIM0". Here is an example of a world I have where I never visited either dimension; you can see that there is nothing under the DIM folders but there are region files under "region", which represent the Overworld:
Also, what I'd do in this case If renaming "level.dat_old" to "level.dat" and replacing the original "level.dat" fails is to create a new world with the same seed and copy its level.dat to the corrupted world, which is much easier than trying to copy the world data to a new world.

TheMasterCaver's First World - possibly the most caved-out world in Minecraft history - includes world download.
TheMasterCaver's World - my own version of Minecraft largely based on my views of how the game should have evolved since 1.6.4.
Why do I still play in 1.6.4?
@themastercaver
thanks for the info. That seems easier than what I did... I may give it a try later just for the experience.
This was the first time I've attempted to help someone with a corrupted world so it was all trial and error for me
EDIT FYI I tried flanigomikmethod.
Renaming 'old' didn't work.. but the delete level.dat & creating a world using 'MineC' & the seed did
