So I've been having this problem where when I press play in my minecraft (new launcher) it has the loading bar, it fills up, then the launcher disappears and doesn't come back, and the game doesn't load. Then when I try again it says a game is already running (I click start anyway). I can't give you launcher logs because the game isn't actually crashing, it's just not showing up. Please help.
If you can't see the window, then right click on the icon and select Maximize to show the window. If you don't see the maximize option, hold down the shift button, then right click on the icon and select Maximize option.

Say something silly, Laugh 'til it hurts, Take a risk, Sing out loud, Rock the boat, Shake things up, Flirt with disaster, Buy something frivolous, Color outside the lines, Cause a scene, Order dessert, Make waves, Get carried away, Have a great day!
I tried the reinstall restart method, didn't work. Also Connor, I can't even see the icon in the taskbar. Like I said NOTHING happens at all. It just, disappears.
Looks like Java crashed. Look for a file named hs_err_pid[numbers] in the .minecraft folder and post it here. Use https://paste.ubuntu.com/

Java may not have completely stopped when you last played Minecraft... Go into Task Manager and stop any instances of Java that may be running (in Windows 10, this would be under the 'Apps' section, not the 'Background processes' section). On my computer it is called 'Java(TM) Platform SE binary', just right-click on it and click 'End task'.
After you get all instances of Java stopped, try to run Minecraft again; if it works, then exit Minecraft and go back into Task Manager and see if Java is still running. If it is, then there may be something going on with Java that's preventing Minecraft from exiting cleanly. If that's the case then you may have to reinstall Java.
Also, the first time I did it, it said there was a Platform SE Binary like it should, but now it doesn't when I go to task manager, but it still says a game is running

Uninstall minecraft, restart your computer, reinstall minecraft, restart your computer again, then launch minecraft.
A fresh start will often solve these types of issues.

Hope that helps!
