My game has been repeatedly crashing whenever I try to launch it. It was working perfectly a week ago, and it just stopped working yesterday. I don't know what has changed- I hadn't touched the game for a week. This is the error that I've been getting every time:

I am on a MacBook with OSX El Capitan (10.11.6), Minecraft version 1.12.2, Forge version 14.23.3.2655, and I have the following mods installed:
Biomes o' Plenty
Familiar Fauna
Forestry
Immersive Engineering Core
Immersive Engineering
Immersive Petroleum
Just Enough Items
Mantle
Mekanism (generators, tools)
Serene Seasons
Tinker's Construct
Tough As Nails
I took its advice and opened a Terminal window, and entered ulimit -c unlimited. After doing that and running the game again, it would sometimes load, but crash soon after entering a world. I have installed the newest version of java, but that didn't change anything. I haven't tried removing every mod one by one yet, but I'm not sure if it will help. It seems to run without any mods installed besides Forge, and it will still crash with Mekanism and/or Immersive Engineering removed (I tried those two because I was noticing other error messages generated by them but I think they're unrelated). I've tried looking up this issue but I haven't been able to find anything recent and relevant. It seems like a very general Java error that affects many non-Minecraft things as well. I'm happy to provide more information if it is needed. Any suggestions are appreciated.
hmmmm...this is one that I haven't experienced. Try looking for the mod(s) individually that cause the crash, my bet is a compatibility issue regarding the TConstruct/Mantle and another mod. Update us with which ones are causing the crash...

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try removing mods one at a time and see what will work, starting with TC/Mantle, and if that does it, I'll check compatibility with each of the other mods in turn.
Um, yes, of course it is a problem with Java. As I stated in my first post though, I already tried updating to the latest version and that didn't change anything.
Update: Looking like bad news. Removing TConstruct and Mantle didn't change anything, so out of curiosity, I removed all the mods again, but this time when the game loaded, I decided to try making a new world to see if it would work, and the game crashed after about 30 seconds walking around the world. Same exact "failed to write core dump" error that I pasted above.
Edit: I don't suppose I'd need to downgrade Java, would I? I remember having to do that once a couple years ago and it was quite annoying. I don't see it helping in this instance though since the game was working fine with the previous version of Java that I had for a couple weeks before this started happening.
I just tried to run an older 1.7.10 Forge version of the game that I had used flawlessly for years, and the same error occurred. It seems as if Java no longer likes Forge at all. This is really frustrating! In all the years I've played Minecraft this is the first time I've had an issue that I wasn't able to fix within a couple days.
Help, or referral to somewhere helpful, at least, would be very much appreciated!
Edit: I tried loading the game again on the 1.12.2, after entering ulimit -c unlimited in Terminal, and though it crashed during initialization still, I got something different in the crash report, and nothing about core dumps. Here is the full crash report:

hmmmm...this is one that I haven't experienced. Try looking for the mod(s) individually that cause the crash, my bet is a compatibility issue regarding the TConstruct/Mantle and another mod. Update us with which ones are causing the crash...

Make sure to have the latest version installed.
