um hello, i pretty much never post (anywhere) but i couldn't find any info on this with google so.
I came across an issue. When looking at the thaumonomicon and seeing what everything did my screen would black out after a bit of time. after further messing around i figured out that it wasn't my whole screen, it was just minecraft. after that i learned i could use the /kill to respwan which seemed to return things to normal, though it would happen again later under the same circumstances. also i found out that i could still move and interact with the world, i just couldn't see anything that was going on. though i could hear everything fine.
so can anybody help me with this issue?
Minecraft Version:
1.7.10-Forge10.13.4.1614-1.7.10
Computer Information:
Windows 10 (64-bit)
8gb of ram, 3gb to minecraft i believe
Java 8 update 151 or 152 i think
and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card
and since the game didn't crash as far as ik, i don't have a crash log.
but i'll upload a pic of what mods i had in my mods folder
i tested things a bit more, it also happened with the book from the mod sanguimancy. it is a blood magic add-on and not related to thaumcraft as far as i know.
it didn't seem to happen with the book from NOVA though. but i did browse through that faster than the sanguimancy one.
so far it seems to only happen with book like items though.
i am using the latest version that is on curse for 1.7.10, but it had a B in the type category which i think means Beta? should i try going down to the version with an R since i can't go up any??
also though, before i posted today, i set all my warp down to 0 and, i haven't had the black screen problem since i've done that? i have clicked all the tabs in the thaumonomicon and as well as various researches, and just leaving it open for long period of time. and so far nothing has happened liked before, and before i could replicate this as it happened multiple times and always while in the thaumonomicon or the sanguimancy book.
the only differences are that A all of my warp is down to 0, B my laptop is plugged into the charger, and C i'm not on fullscreen anymore.
so far the problem seems to of solved itself based off of one of these differences.
but i will try going down some versions with guid-api also just to be safe. thank you.

hmm... odd, and it only happens with that one item?

see if there is an update for guide API then, that would be your common failure point
