I updated from Windows 7 to windows 10 with Microsoft's tool for it (Forgot the name)
This is giving me issues in these areas;
I can't compile MCP or Forge in IntelliJ / Eclipse
I can't run Minecraft with the OLD/Legacy launcher which is my preference
But my computer is overall running a lot better so I don't want to switch back to windows 7 and I can run some things like osu!lazer (I couldn't run that on windows 7), but if I 100% have to I will since Minecraft is sort of the only game I like to play and being able to create weird things with MCP/Forge makes it even better.. Plus since I'm younger the only source of income I have is *mainly* through Minecraft (Plugins, Mods)
I run the game fine.. ~45fps on avg so that isn't the problem, None of this happened on win7 just don't even reply if you are stating something obvious or dumb.
Unfortunately your graphics hardware is not supported on Windows 10, you will need to downgrade to Windows 7, upgrade your graphics hardware (Not possible on a laptop), or use another computer to play Minecraft.

The thing I don't get is why does it work PERFECTLY fine on the new launcher but not the old one/MCP?

becasue the old launcher at this point is archaic and the new one is written much better. you could also check the EXACT version of java the new client is using and try to get the old one to use that

Oh my god I love you for that last bit ^-^! I forgot that the new launcher comes with a bundled JRE and making the old launcher use that makes it run. Hopefully using that will fix my issues in IntelliJ as well when compiling MCP / Forge (the path was "C:\Program Files (x86)\Minecraft\runtime\jre-x64\1.8.0_25\bin\javaw.exe") Thank you soso much for that as I forgot and my computer runs so much smoother on Win10

Your computer does not meet Minecraft's system requirements https://help.mojang.com/customer/en/portal/articles/325948-minecraft-system-requirements
