I've been trying to join several different modded servers, and I can't successfully connect to any of them. I thought I couldn't connect to the first one because it was hosted in Germany, but then I joined one hosted in Canada(with me being in the Northeast U.S) and it still threw errors.
I've had a variety of errors such as "An established connection was aborted by the software in your host machine."
"Failed to connect to server: connection timed out"
"Timed out"
"Disconnected"
I've tried installing randomfixes, but that hasn't worked.
The servers have been on several different modpacks and I verified that at least two of them were hosted by different services.
I've tried reinstalling java, both 32 and 64 bit, reinstalling twitch launcher, the native Minecraft installation. Nothing's worked.
Even after turning off my firewall it still won't connect.
I checked Wireshark(which I have very little experience in, so if someone more savvy could give me a way to actual use it properly to solve my issue that would be great) and it seems that the server is throwing a lot of "bad tcp" at me, and the phrase Keep Alive is common in the packets labeled "bad tcp". I don't know if that helps at all, but I really just want to resolve this issue.
timed out is normally where the connection between your and the server is not fast enough what is your and your servers network connection type? and are others having similar issues?
What do you mean connection type? And as far as I know, I'm the only one having this issue. My internet is known to be a little slow, but I've only recently started having issues connecting to modded servers. Only half a year ago I was playing on a ftb infinity server.
I'm decently certain it's fibre, and I'm running an ethernet cable to my computer. I do have many devices in my home, but even when barely any of them are online, I still can't connect.
I'm downloading the software now, what would I do with the results? Also, I can't find one that officially supports Windows 10 but that should be fine.
minecraft is not very tolerant when it comes to waiting around for players to syncronize, it will kick you for high ping or low bandwidth well before other games would

Curse Premiumis your connection asdl, fibre or cable? do you have a large home network?

Curse PremiumHave you tried to run a MTR test?

Curse Premiumlooks like there may be issues with your connection as you are losing a lot of packets I would get in contact with your ISP
The problem is I can play Rainbow Six fine, and connect to vanilla servers, but it never works with modded.

Curse Premiumsource games and vanilla minecraft does not use as much bandwidth as modded minecraft also your mtr test shows your connection degrading
