So I have a [email protected] 4.6GHz, GTX 1070 with a minor overclock, 24GB of 2133MHz Ram, Great performance on literally every other game I have, and a steady 30fps in damn Minecraft.
Through shift+F3 I can see that display_update is taking up ~70% of the performance when normally Game render is the main thing.
I have tried making sure that Nvidia control panel sees MC, It does.
I have tried Reinstalling drivers (twice) No help.
I have tried setting my monitor's refresh rate down from 144hz to lower settings, no difference.
In game Minecraft does not have Vsync on, it is basically on max settings like normal.
I have been trolling through the internet trying to find a solution that actually works for the last hour and nothing.
I'm really stuck here, any help would be very appreciated.
Say something silly, Laugh 'til it hurts, Take a risk, Sing out loud, Rock the boat, Shake things up, Flirt with disaster, Buy something frivolous, Color outside the lines, Cause a scene, Order dessert, Make waves, Get carried away, Have a great day!
Now it seems that it hasn't particularly helped, through experimenting I have found out something positively horrible, when tabbed out minecraft runs better.
I have multiple monitors so I sit the shift+f3 open and run the game in my inventory, apparently 80fps but I can see on the fps logger thing in the bottom left that it is mostly >200 with dips down to 20 a few times a second, which in itself is weird.
I then tab out of the game by just clicking off of the game, it is still running infront of my but window's focus is away from it, game still running, 360fps
Im tired of this I just wanted to get back into SSP.
I can even bring my mouse back onto the game window and it works fine at over 300fps but the moment I click it chugs.
also upon tagging back in it takes roughly a second for the FPS to tank, this is so screwy.

Disable GeForce experience overlay.
Why the hell did that work, oh Nvidia.|
Thanks for the help.
