Hey everyone! I have a weird issue, I ordered a G-Sync monitor which is causing some weird issues in Minecraft. When I launch the game in fullscreen, the menu and the game itself get an odd stutter. I've tried turning V-Sync on and off, but I end up with very strange stuttering either way. When I change the game to windowed, the mouse and menus look just fine, but the game still runs very strange. Alongside the stutter, I notice that the moving the mouse causes a barely noticable flashing effect? It's real weird.
I've got a high-end PC that can handle Minecraft easily, so it's not a question of hardware; Minecraft's run fine before this new monitor. Is there anything I should know about G-Sync that is causing Minecraft to run this way? For reference, all other games I've tried (Dying Light, Vermintide 2, Destiny 2) run EXTREMELY smooth thanks to G-Sync working properly, but Minecraft gets this very bad stutter...
Thanks for your time!
EDIT: As it always goes, asking for help always manages to get me to figure it out myself just after I make a post about it:
Here's my fix if anyone else has this issue:
The new monitor is a different resolution, and I guess Minecraft was having issues autoswitching. Within the options, and it's totally possible this is an optifine thing, I had to specify the correct fullscreen resolution... Fixed. Oops...
