It's a bit weird, but the load sequence is fine (Building terrain, etc). Once the player is in the world, I'm just floating in an abyss. There should be blocks where I am, and the coordinates are not changing. I cannot move but can look around.

There is only one world affected in this way. All my other worlds work just fine.
If your world got corrupted you can try repairing it with mcedit.
