I'm trying to run a LAN game with my friend. She has a Mac and I have a Windows PC. Our computers are connected to the same LAN network (same wifi from a router).
When she starts a singleplayer game and turns on LAN, I can see her game and join her game just fine. However, whenever I start a singleplayer game and turn on LAN, she (her Mac) cannot find my game and cannot join it.
We have tried using Direct Connect, which does not work and whenever she attempts to use Direct Connect to join my game, a message "Failed to connect to the server. Failed to login: Invalid session (Try restarting your game and the launcher)" would be displayed.
I have also allowed "Java(TM) Platform SE binary" and "Minecraft Launcher" through both public and private networks in Windows Firewall.
We have also attempted disabling both of our firewalls (Mac firewall and Windows firewall) to no avail.
I would really appreciate if someone could help me with this such that her Mac can connect to my PC. Thanks a lot!
