im running minecraft forge with 2 mods (aetherII and gilded games util) although this has happend with every mod i try to load. its crashing instantly after i click play i tried reinstalling minecraft forge but the installer wouldnt open.
Do you have a log file that says any kind of error message? I would suggest trying a different launcher like MultiMC. It makes installing mods extremely easy, plus gives you a console with an error report. An error report or a log would better help figure out what is going on. Other than that, all I can suggest is to have the recommended version of Forge (the latest version isn't always the recommended version). Changes could have happened to forge since the recommended version that mods aren't updated to work with. With the default launcher, you have to modify the minecraft.jar file directly to install Forge (including deleting the meta_inf file). I prefer not having to do all of that. MultiMC does that stuff for you, so installing mods is as easy as putting the mod files into the mods folder and that's it.
thanks for the advice but when i tried to start multimc it said 'you do not have a working java set up or it went missing' even though i am well aware that i have java and when i tried getting the most reccent version of forge my anti malware said that an unknown file is attempting to launch i clicked accept and the forge installer still didnt open i will try to redownload java and i will tell you if that still doesent work
