Since 1.12 (or maybe earlier, but I just somehow failed to notice) old worlds (like custom maps which I last launched somewhere in 1.6-1.7) started to load VERY slowly. I just spawn in mid-air and have to wait for around 5 minutes for the terrain to appear around me. And after that, when I wander off for some distance, the world just ends and I have to wait for it to load again. Like this:
But in my other worlds which I visit regularly this problem doesn't occur, everything loads perfectly well just like before. I run vanilla Minecraft with only Optifine installed. I tried to mess with its settings, nothing seems to be able to fix it. Does the gap between versions it was launched with make any difference? Was there something in some previous patches that like converted the world to some load-better-format? I would appreciate any feedback since this problem really makes me sad :c
P.S. If a similar problem was already solved somewhere here, I'm sorry
