When I installed the game I changed the location to D:\users|[name]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft as i didn't want the game clogging up my Windows Boot Drive. Upon opening the game i find that it has installed the versions into C:\users\[name]\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft which was not install directory.
Anyone know how i can change the location so this isn't taking up space on my C drive?
Thanks

Installation only changes where your "launcher" is at. It doesn't change your save files.
In the new launcher, go to Launch options > click on profile > toggle the option next to Game directory, and click on the folder. Choose a folder you want to be the new directory.
You have to do this manually for each profile.
