My son has a new laptop with Windows 10 installed. Other than Roblox, all he has done on the laptop is play minecraft and its worked flawlessly for 6+ months... Back in November he ran into problems... He hasn't been able to play ever since. I have tried everything I can think of but my I.T. capabilities are limited. The launcher [version 2.0.1003] opens like normal. I click on PLAY and [version 1.12.2] opens a white box with the MoJang logo in it. Nothing happens from there. When I click the X to close it, a pop up appears that says... Java(TM) Platform SE Binary is not responding When I select "Close The Program, a new box opens up that says, GAME CRASH An unexpected issue occurred and the game has crashed. we're sorry for the inconvenience. I then select close and everything goes away.... Has anyone seen this or know what in the world could be causing it?
Please help before I go to the extent of Reloading WINDOWS! Any help is much appreciated!
You shouldn't have to reload Windows... maybe try deleting and redownloading the launcher. Not much I can say, it seems like maybe the laptop is having trouble processing Minecraft. The message you're getting is the generic crash message.

Agreed, I don't see why you'd need to reload windows.
I'd say try running a version below 1.12.2, like 1.11.2 and 1.8.9 to see if its 1.12.2 causing the problem.
Redownloading the launcher is also a good option too, like Taslekio said.

Always need the crash log. It will tell exactly why the game crashes.
