Started up my laptop the other day and out of nowhere my minecraft launcher won't open. When I click on the desktop icon to open minecraft, the launcher opens in the sense that I can see it in the toolbar and task manager but doesn't open up an actual window. I can right click and close it, no problem, so it's not freezing or anything. As far as I can tell, I have all of Window's auto updates turned off so I don't think it's that either. The only mod I use is JourneyMap and I haven't touched that or my texture packs recently. I'm not sure what the problem is.
If you can't see the window, then right click on the icon and select Maximize to show the window. If you don't see the maximize option, hold down the shift button, then right click on the icon and select Maximize option.

Okay the shift thing worked. Any idea about how to permanently fix this? Or what might have caused it?
