Whenever I make a new world or go into one, it never goes past that screen. It stays frozen there and the only way I can close the client is by shutting down my computer. There is no crashing, it is simply frozen there. I have attempted to change settings and looked at forums, nothing is solving this issue. I checked if Minecraft was compatible with my computer and it should work greatly.
EDIT: I am running Windows 10 Home, Version 1709, and 64-bit. I open Minecraft from the shortcut after using the installer. It is Minecraft Version 1.12.2. I do not have any mods. I have updated my OS, my drivers, and Java, however the problem is still the same.

For anyone to help you , you will need to include computer specs . The OS and version . How you setup Minecraft and its version . Update your OS and drivers . If you have modded , include all that info .
Being that you are using unmodified, that means there are no mods, correct? So, no worries about forge, or any of that. However, one thing you may want to check is to make sure you have the most up-to-date version of Java installed on your computer. But yes, including the OS, version of Minecraft you are trying to run, etc (as previously mentioned) is important. Next thing is to see if you can track down a log file. MultiMC works great as a launcher because it is easy to see a crash report whenever the game fails to load (among other things).
On your launcher, click "Launch options", and click the instance you are using. Then, click the small green arrow in the "Game directory" line. Leave the folder that opens on screen then play till the issue happens, open the launcher_log.txt file after the error has happened, and copy its content to http://paste.ubuntu.com. Click "Paste!", then share with us the link (the URL) that it takes you to.
Its not actually showing any problems from the games end, so try the following.
ADWCleaner is an utility to clean a PC which has potential malware/adware, which is a common cause for the problem you have. Download it here: https://toolslib.net/downloads/finish/1/
Run a Scan, Clean anything it finds, restart the computer and then try the game again, you may need to do a local file reinstall (clearing .minecraft of everything but saves) after.

I'm not sure if this is right but this is what I got in the launcher_log https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/BcVFdVJrXC/
