I apologize if this isn't where to post snapshot issues, I just couldn't find the right place.
I had to reinstall Minecraft, because I got a new computer, and I haven't used the new Launcher much at all, but I made sure that I have both 32x and 64x versions of the new Java version (because I remember in the past needing to make sure I had both versions to make all things work on the computer, such a pain, but I digress).
When I boot up the snapshot, the Mojang logo doesn't even pop up, and I get an error stating, "An unexpected issue occurred, and the game has crashed. We're sorry for the inconvenience."
Now, I can play version 1.12.2 just fine (well, it boots up anyway, I haven't actually gone in and made a world yet), but I want to play with the new features of the snapshot.
I don't know if I did it correctly, but the above link was me going to the directory that the snapshot profile leads to, launching the snapshot, and copying the log file. If I didn't do it properly, please let me know.
'm running Windows 10, Asus Republic of Gamers laptop. For specific specs, please ask, because I have no idea what I need to share, and I'll have to look up where to find the info needed.
Edit: Tried looking through the logs myself, and figured out the reason was due to resolution height. But I'm keeping this thread up because I don't know why the height is an issue, because it's the same in the 1.12.2 profile. I was attempting to set the resolution as 1600x1024.
