I recently got an ASUS Windows 10 computer with a GEFORCE GTX Graphics card (as well as the integrated Intel core card). Every single game I ran (Overwatch, Borderlands, Rainbow Six, etc) was totally smooth and didn't cause any problems. Recently, I installed Minecraft and added on Forge and Optifine, plus a shader and 32x32 texture pack. Running that with the default Intel graphics was a bit laggy, so I decided to run it with the NVIDIA graphics instead.
Apparently, this was a huge mistake.
Ever since I made the switch, opening Minecraft will cause my computer to BSOD at least 50% of the time. It even BSODs when I'm just running chrome and doing something as simple as watching a Youtube video.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the NVIDIA driver at least a dozen times, I've uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft. My computer seems to run fine after I've done a clean re-install of the graphics driver and it's no longer affiliated with Minecraft, but to test it, I tried to run Minecraft again with the driver and BOOM. Instant BSOD.
What the hell is going on? This has never been a problem for my computers in the past, they've all been able to handle Forge/Optifine/Shaders/Texture pack with NVIDIA just fine.
