I suspect I have a memory leak issue, as the RAM for Minecraft increases from 1GB all the way too as much it can (6.2GB of my 8GB) before it freezes up
It happens on 1.7.10 and 1.12.2, I haven't tried other versions as those 2 are revelant for the server I play on.

I would temporarily remove those mods and add them back 1 by 1, until the memory leak reoccurs. That should help pinpoint the mod causing the leak. Also, if any of those mods have a Github, check to see if others reported your bug, and if not, you can open an issue on Github and report it.

I just took the Minecraft Noob test! Check out what I scored. Think you can beat me?!

Okay so Vanilla 1.7.10 doesn't have a RAM leak issue for me. (Peaks at 1.7GB
Forge + Armourer's workshop peaks at 1.3GB
Add Backpacks Mod and it's 1.45GB at peak
Add in BiblioCraft and it's 1.56GB
Add cfm and it's 1.42GB surprisingly
Added both Not Enough Items and Code Chicken Core because the latter is needed for the former, and also went to 1.56GB
Added CustomNPCs and used 1.45GB
Added Damage Indicators Mod and used 1.51GB
Added Naruto Anime Mod and used and used 1.54GB
Added Rei's Minimap and used 1.61GB
So since it doesn't leak memory with the same setup as Technic I decided to do it in Technic but tried the default JVM arguments from the normal launcher
It used 1.51GB.
So then I tried on the multiplayer server and it ran up to 2GB but seemed to stop increasing.
I added Optifine because I wanted to see if I could get stable RAM with shaders and even with shaders it used 2GB of RAM now.
Looks like I fixed it, not sure what it was but I'd say it's 70% chance it was the JVM arguments.
